FAQ's

We’ve put together some useful questions and helpful tips on how to make the most of your summer in the city at Great Northern Beach Club.

 

One of our top priorities is to make sure everyone has a good time, but above that we want to make sure our team and guests are safe. Please follow Covid-19 government guidelines at all times to help create a safe environment for everyone.

  • WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
    We’re based at Great Northern Square - we can’t wait for you to see our space! If you’re driving, the nearest car park is Great Northern Warehouse NCP and if you’re getting the train, the closest station is Deansgate.
  • HOW DO I CHECK AVAILABILITY?
    It’s super easy! Click on our bookings page and follow the process. Select your preferred date & time to check availability. If you can’t see the time and date, that means your preferred slot has been snapped up.
  • DO YOU ACCEPT WALK-INS?
    We sure do. Speak to the team on-site, and if there’s availability – we’d love to accommodate you with a private hut or picnic bench if there’s one free.
  • HOW LONG CAN I STAY, EITHER INDOORS OR OUTDOORS?"
    Tables on The Terrace and Standard Beach Hut bookings are 1hour 30 mins. Premium Beach Huts (during key sporting events) are 2hours 30 mins.
  • CAN I EXTEND MY TIME IN THE BEACH HUT ONCE MY FRIENDS AND I ARE IN THERE?
    This all depends on availability. Our huts are often booked back-to-back, with time to clean in between. However, if you’re enjoying the summer vibes and there’s availability for you to stay on, who are we to stop you. That said, it’s something we can’t guarantee, but always worth an ask!
  • WHEN IS THERE LIVE MUSIC AND DJS?
    We will have live music on Fridays and Saturdays - keep an eye on our Instagram or sign-up to our newsletter for the latest updates.
  • I’M GOING TO BE LATE FOR MY BOOKING, WHAT SHOULD I DO?"
    Hurry up! We’re kidding. It’s completely fine to be late for a booking - we totally understand these things happen. It just means that you’ll perhaps miss out on valuable time in your beach hut. If there’s no booking after you, we’ll try to keep you on a little longer but we’re afraid there’s no guarantee as often our bookings are back-to-back. Please be aware that we will hold your reservation for a maximum of 10 minutes, after this we may release this for other people. Please call us on 07375 779518 to let us know.
  • WHAT HAPPENS IF I’VE MADE A BOOKING I CAN NO LONGER MAKE?
    We will try to be as flexible as possible should you need to move a booking. The best thing to do is to contact us directly via email on hello@greatnorthernbeachclub.co.uk
  • CAN I BRING ALONG MY OWN FOOD AND DRINKS?
    Sorry, we don’t allow you to bring along your own food and drinks, it’s against our policy. You can enjoy food from local traders South Manny Flavaz, Platzki and Alex's Bakery.
  • MY BANK STATEMENT SHOWS THAT PAYMENT HAS BEEN TAKEN OUT BY A COMPANY CALLED 'BITTER TWISTED', IS THAT CORRECT?"
    Yes. Don’t worry, that’s right. Bitter Twisted is the company that owns and operates Great Northern Beach Club.
  • CAN I BRING ALONG MY CHILDREN?
    Of course, this is a family-friendly holiday. They might not want to stick around past 11pm though - things might get a little noisy.
  • ARE YOU DOG FRIENDLY?
    Absolutely! All pups welcome. However, be aware the music can get kinda loud in the evening’s which might hurt your pup's ears.
  • I CAME TO GREAT NORTHERN BEACH CLUB AND LEFT SOMETHING BEHIND, CAN YOU HELP?"
    What are you like?! The best thing to do is to contact us on Facebook to see if our beachwatch team has managed to rescue your belongings.
  • I CAME TO BAR GREAT NORTHERN BEACH CLUB AND HAD THE BEST TIME EVER, WHAT SHOULD I DO NOW?"
    A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Show us your evidence please! Share your picture with us on Instagram, use #MCRSEASIDESESSIONS and next time you’re down at the Beach Club, we’ll make you a signature cocktail on us!
  • WILL I BE ABLE TO SOCIALISE SAFELY?
    Absolutely. Take a look at our safely measures right HERE.
  • DO YOU HAVE A FOOD MENU I CAN VIEW?
    We do not currently have a food menu available to view, but our local traders South Manny Flavaz, Platzki and Alex's Bakery have plenty of options to choose from when you arrive.
  • DO YOU CATER FOR FOOD ALLERGIES / INTOLERANCES?
    As our food is currently provided by our external partners, we cannot guarantee that food intolerances/ allergies can be catered for. Please contact our individual food traders, South Manny Flavaz, Platzki and Alex's Bakery, for more information.
  • IS THERE A DRESS CODE?
    We kindly ask for no sportswear please.
